Third Anniversary Tournament

Hello everyone, we celebrate our three years anniversary by holding the greatest tournament ever!!!

A Tournament?
Yes, a tounament.
The tournament will consist of two rounds.

1. The first round to separate the men from the boys
The first round will be a group stage with about three teams in each group. There will be three duels between each team, so every team will play at least six matches. The TDM matches will be two times 12 rounds and the CTF matches will be two times 15 minutes (so both teams get to play as both terrorist and special forces).

Points will be awarded after each duel:
win: 2 points.
draw: 1 point.
lose: 0 points.

• Duel 1:

best of 3 TDM.
1st round: Home map team A
2nd round: Home map team B
3rd round: Random map (not a home map)

• Duel 2:

Best of 3 CTF
1st round: Home map team A
2nd round: Home map team B
3rd round: Random map (not a home map)

• Duel 3:

Best of 3 random
All rounds: Random map, random weapons

2. The second round aka the final
In the final same the three duels as in the first round will be played. The only difference; when there is a draw within a duel there will be played additional rounds with the same rules as round 3 until there is a winner.

I would like to participate
Well, then register here your team or as an individual to participate. Each team needs at least 4 players. Registering fewer players will mean that we will assign individuals to your team. Registering more players will also be no problem. When both teams agree you can play with a different amount of players. Bringing substitutes is also possible.

1. As a team:
a. Team Name.
b. Names of the players.
c. Home Map TDM.
d. Home Map CTF.

2. As an individual:
a. Your name
b. Your favourite map for TDM
c. Your favourite map for CTF
A team will be formed of individuals or you will be assigned to a team.

This is an interesting setup its nice to see a little variation I would suggest you make it 4,2,1 (win, draw, lose) as what almost always happens with 2,1,0 is that once you know you have lost there is no point hanging about, this makes it very annoying for the more skilled teams.

How do you mean?

(with 2x 10 min we mean 10 min terr and 10 min sf)

I think he means.. that 10 minutes sometimes only make up for like 4-7 rounds so then a tdm map would be like 14 rounds or something which isn't really a large amount of rounds :)

Just on a side note, our third anniversary was actually on the first of June, but due to circumstances * cough *, we are celebrating it now. A little late, but hopefully just as much fun. :)

It would be cool to make it 12 rounds for side, just like it was in ESL.

I agree a time based situation isnt good as a team can just win one round and then camp / hide throughout making for a very boring match. I wouldn't make it 12 rounds either tbh as you are playing 9 sides per match, somewhere in between would be good.
