Rejected By Server

Hi guys, I'm new to your forums and server. I found it by looking on the Gametracker's top server list and your server sounded quite interesting and fun. Once I added them to my favorites, I tried to connect but all I got was connection failed, rejected by server. It was an empty server so that can't be the problem and I wasn't trying to spectate either...

Any help??

Hey, welcome to the forums!

We'll need to know a few things in order to solve this problem;

- Is there any console output that could explain what's going on?
- What is the exact server address you are trying to connect to?
- At what time did you try to connect? (You mentioned the server was empty, this doesn't happen very often except late at night)
- Are you able to connect to other servers?

No console output, its empty.
-trying to connect to 89.31.97.229:7777
-this was before my post above, so 1 AM.
-and yes, i'm able to connect to other servers.

the message appears to be one of a banned IP. do you guys have a range of IPs banned that I might fall under??

After the server rejects you, check 'Tools > system concole and see if there is something interesting?

i know what the console is i'm a 8 (almost 9) year veteran of the game there is no message there, its not like i'm getting kicked either, which would require me to first connect to the server then proceed to be kicked. i just can't connect O_o

If your IP address you are trying to connect with is the same as the one your posting with then you do not fall under any IP ban, so good news there.

I'll see what the server has to say about why he decided to refuse your connection.

The server shows you tried to connect, but has not reported a successful login.

Could you try to connect to our TDM server, to see if that works?

yes i've tried both the servers. is there a password required or something? O_o

There's no password required, unless if the server is full (reserved slot).

What version of TO do you have installed?

Haha!

Tactical Ops was indeed originally a mod for UT.
Later it became a stand-alone game, and the last official (made by the original creators) version is 3.40.

Our servers are running TO 3.4.
The link you posted is the old mod version, you'll need the standalone version and the 3.4 patch.

I´ve got little different but similar problem as ENDER. Donno what happened, but yesterday night when I was trying to connect. it shows me rejected by the server, now i deleted cache and temporary data and still nothing happened. Now i renamed myself to my nickname (from Jonas1_OSHA,de to Jonas1_OSHA) and everything works fine, what a hell? some kind of protection?
am glad that i found it out the porblem, but still dont know whats wrong, U can be named whoever you want cant u?
