I'm new here, I just wanted to say hi

I used to play a lot of Tactical Ops when I was younger, it was pretty much my child hood
I don't really play TO anymore since I don't own the game plus I moved on to CS, mainly because its similar to TO (its concept of bomb defusal and hostage rescue) plus it's a lot more competetive

but Tactical Ops, for me, is just a fond memory

I don't intend on playing again, I just really liked the game at its time.

 

I have intermediate knowledge of the CSGO: SDK, so through the years I will try to implement old TO maps into CSGO

It's always a pleasure to meet a fellow TO veteran.

Our FFD server is still very much alive and kicking, even to this very day. Are you sure you can resist the temptation to add just a few more games to your TO track record?

At cs:go you can already find Rapidwaters and scope =)
Some more maps i would like to see at CS are:
*Trooper

*Blister

*CIA

*Dragon

Nonono,  CS:GO is really fun

Already thought about starting on Dragon, after will do either CIA or Blister

Once I finished I will upload it to workshop and then on the website

I don't expect it to be in competetive map tool mainly because the TO maps aren't really competitive, maybe if I change the layout but kept the theme. It all depends on what map and how I will convert it so that it will be still recognized as the original and can still be competitive

Hmm yeah maybe not an exact copy of the TO maps, but something that looks alike. I think some bomb plant maps in TO could be competitive though.

Possible to convert them to cs:go?

Sorry for late reply, been busy with school lately

to_rapidwaters has already been ported to csgo, here is workshop page: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=293417261&searchtext=rapidwaters

and yes it should be possible to convert those maps to csgo, although some textures will be errors due to the fact that cs 1.6 uses old textures. I will see what I can do
